Performance Nutrition

Would highly recommend the service and nutrition programme that I got. I’ve never worked with a nutrition programme before but wanted to try one in the lead up to a competition and to get better educated about diet in general.

Over the course of the programme I was training more intensely than I ever have but have never felt so high in energy and although I was eating within a calorie range, I was never hungry, which is something I have struggled within the past.

The tailoring of the programme to suit your lifestyle and likes/dislikes is excellent, and that makes it really easy to follow and stick to. I also learnt a lot that I still use now that the programme is complete, which is great as getting better educated about nutrition in general was a key goal for me. Definitely worth the investment and something I would consider doing again, in line with new goals.

Laura was brilliant. We are a senior ladies GAA team and our girls’ range in age from 16-32. Many of the girls have been playing sport for many years at different levels but most of them had had no education around their nutrition and how to eat properly to ensure they were getting the most out of their diet for GAA.

Laura facilitated the teams schedule and was very easy to work with. Whilst her knowledge is brilliant; for us, the most important thing was that she could relate her presentation to a young girl’s perspective in terms of how they should eat on training days, how to eat on game days and how to eat for recovery. As a GAA player herself, Laura was able to strip the presentation down to points which were of specific interest to young GAA female players. She was able to put herself into the shoes of our girls and advise them on the best way to fuel their bodies for the competition season. It was a great learning curve for our players and was invaluable to us.

Laura’s social media accounts are packed full of great information. Most of our girls regularly followed her recipes for making protein-packed snacks and brought them as after-training fuel – which was much appreciated by everyone!

To sum it up; if you are thinking about how to step your team up to the next level (whatever that may be), then a meeting with Laura is a must! She certainly knows her stuff in terms of specific nutrition for sport but is also able to present this information to any audience without the confusing technical terms. All in all, a great experience and one which every young GAA female player should have!

Drumlane Ladies (Cavan), GAA Performance Nutrition Seminar

I found the Bridge Nutrition seminar brilliant as it made me prioritize my food for my sports performance, showing great guidelines which were practical and perfect examples for what food to be eating before/during/after training and games. I’ve changed my outlook on nutrition since the presentation and I am dealing the rewards since, especially with using the sports supplements and the sample meal ideas!
